about LOLshow and a free Blackberry Curve 3G

Ok, before i move on... i must warn you that my posting this time is a bit unusual from my normal posting but if u were to continue reading till the end, you might understand why this posting is a bit TECHY and i am not surprise if you were to do the same too ... Right. How should i start...

I remember those days when i rushed home from work simply just to jump onto my sofa to watch (religiously mind you) 2-3 geeks and nerds (and sometimes smokin' hot girls too) banter on TV about the latest gadgets... they argued, they agreed, they show-offs, they blabbered anything "tech" and i used to drool over those gadgets... ya those were the days of TechTV on ASTRO. I am sure some of you misses it as much as i do ...

then there were "BeamFest", at least once a month me and my buddies from (now defunct) MyPDACafe.com original members get together to "tunjuk terror" and show-off our latest gadgets!... PDA were the hot stuffs back then, WINce and Palms were the must have and we blogged, we argue in the forum and we happily get fat and makin Starbucks richer by hanging out there with our gadgets (starbucks was the only place with free wifi back then) and then ... some of us got older, got married, got kids and moved away...

then there were Social Medias... MySpace, Friendster came and tried to kill  MySpace and then Facebook came and killed everyone, Twitter came and became the closest thing to having ur idols' phone numbers where u can sent short messages to them and get them balas or response back to you (sometimes)... 

I am a big fan of twitter and facebook but i do miss those TechTV programs and tech forums where we endlessly argues with each other and I miss my buddies at MyPDACafe where we chat and banter during "BeamFest"... and then, there is #LOLshow aka Life On Line show!

In episode 11 , the foursome chatted on the latest Twitter, Facebook and the movie, WikiLeaks, Google Wave's failure and even the Yo-Rice/Yorais hashtag !  it's nice to finally stumble upon a very nice and healthy "discussion" where the discussion is being discussed from our perspective and in a very intellectual way without being to intellectual (go figure LOL!) even to a point where one of them left the show because his friend is waiting at the door ... that's how personal the show gets... i felt as if i was there watching them talks... with that said, maybe guys, your next episodes should be a video podcast :) 

Now, back to my opening paragraph... why is this posting a bit unusual ... well, LOLshow is so kind to give away a Blackberry Curve 3G!!! and I WANT TO WIN THIS!!!!!! if only i knew about this much much earlier, i would have blog sonner but hey... i hope there is still enough time for me to win this. WHY DO I NEED to win this SWEEEEEEET Blackberry Curve 3G?  apart from the facts that this Blackberry has a 2MP camera with Flash, GPS!, WiFi and 3G, Media Keys and optical TRACKPAD!!! (i don't have to blow the BB ball ever again whenever it get stuck), well my old faithful Bold is so old... everytime there is an SMS sent or coming in, the Bold will go to SOS SimCard Error mode and I HAVE TO RESTART every time!  the telco couldnt help solve this so i hope LOLshow can help me solve this problem (hehehe).


So now you know why i am posting this... and maybe you all should try posting too!  (i am praying hard that i will win this muahs!!!)

What do i like about the show?... well the show is very personal... easy to follow and sounded very friendly... the duration of 30 minutes is just nice... and not to heavy for my normal internet speed ... i didn't have a problem listening/streaming to it... although i thought it would be nice to see them talk (video show) because i do feel as if i was there watching them.  Definitely will follow :) ( can i win pleaseeeeee) LOL!

Petaling Jaya, Selangor, 08 December 2010 – Lakefront Records Sdn Bhd, a recently established local recording label, is pleased to announce the release and debut of their R&B artiste, Nadia Aqilah, with her self-titled album.

“I had always dreamed of this moment and now it’s a reality... I can’t believe it!” exclaimed Nadia Aqilah about the launch of her album. “I almost gave up hope a while back, but music gave me strength so I kept at it, and before you know it, I was in the studios recording my album!” Her Malay single, “D.I.V.A” has been receiving air-play on a local radio station the past few weeks.

Last seen in her stage performance in the local musical, “The Sparks of Broadway,” which was where Lakefront Records Sdn Bhd. CEO, Bryan Tan, recognised her talent instantly. Within weeks, she was in the studio recording her first solo album.

The self-titled album, composed and produced by the young musical prodigy, Daniel Veerapen, with lyrics written almost entirely by Nadia herself, was recorded and mastered entirely in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It also features LA Hip Hop artiste, KJ The Artist, a member of the sibling duo, Chrome Cats (also signed to Lakefront Records) Their collaboration on the song happened by chance, when Lakefront Records CEO forwarded the song to the Chrome Cats.

Now with the album done, Nadia is poised to launch her career as a solo artiste, The album consists of ten songs, of which three are in Malay, namely “Teman,” “Percaya,” and “D.I.V.A,” all penned by Nadia. “This album is totally me. I’ve finally found an avenue for my voice, it’s in R&B, and I totally love it!”

About Nadia Aqilah

Nadia Aqilah Bajuri  was born on August 16, 1985 in Batu Pahat, Johor and raised in Ampang, Selangor.  Her early beginnings in the musical scene saw her as a member of two female bands/groups, M’Braze (1998-2000) and Luscious (2000- 2007) Desiring to further pursue entertainment, Nadia ventured into acting and dancing, was quickly noticed and offered roles in various local musicals and television programmes, notably “Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical,” “P. Ramlee The Musical,” “Emil Emilda,” “Sindarella,” “Merah Puteh” and “Tari Tirana.” But singing is where Nadia’s passion ignites. Her professional musical influences range from Mariah Carey to Ella, Aisyah and Francesca Peters.

about bukit tunku dan ayat kursi

Disini saya nak kongsi apa yang saya alami. Dalam kehidupan seharian kita, ada beberapa ayat lazim yang kita biasa baca dan sebati dengan kita seperti Al-Fatihah, 4 Qul dan Ayat Kursi (antara banyak lagi ayat ayat lain dari kitab suci Al-Quran). Saya mengaku bahawa saya buka yang alim sangat tetapi ayat ayat ini memang saya gunakan hari hari dan hafal.

Saja nak cerita pengalaman saya baru baru ini dimana saya dalam perjalanan untuk ke Hentian Bas Duta pada jam lebih kurang 11 malam, kebiasaannya saya akan mengikut jalan besar dan kadang kadang jalan pintas Bukit Tunku setelah keluar dari Penchala Link.

Pada malam tersebut kebiasaan saya itu telah bertukar menjadi luarbiasa. dari kediaman saya di Sri Damansara saya turun ke LDP dan perasan bahawa petrol saya hampir habis lalu saya berhenti disebuah stesen minyak petrol (tak yah cakap yng mana satu la taknak you all takut plak) . Sementara saya mengisi minyak saya tak tahu kenapa perasaan saya begitu kuat mengatakan ada sesuatu yang tak kena dan memerhati kearah kawasan semak /hutan disebelah stesen petrol tersebut. kalau hari biasa , saya akan cuba buat tak tahu tetapi malam tersebut, saya terus memandang kearah semak tersebut.

I was invited by Rozi (kakak ipar Siti) untuk menyertai perbincangan mengenai reunion ini dan off-course i said yes... this is my school too! saya akan kembali ke sekolah hujung bulan julai ini :)

KUALA LUMPUR 23 Jun - Penyanyi tersohor tanah air, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin akan menyerikan program perhimpunan bekas pelajar Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Clifford, Kuala Lipis, Pahang pada 31 Julai ini.

Pengerusi jawatankuasa penganjurnya, Zainal Abidin Ahmad berkata, Siti Nurhaliza yang juga bekas pelajar sekolah itu dijangka hadir ke majlis makan malam yang bertemakan 'Old Cliffordians 2 Gather As 1' di sekolah berkenaan.

"Antara objektif penganjurannya ialah mengeratkan silaturahim, meluaskan rangkaian perhubungan, mengimbau nostalgia lama serta mengenang jasa guru-guru yang pernah berkhidmat di sekolah ini.
"Saya harap ia mendapat sambutan yang baik daripada semua bekas pelajar SMK Clifford," katanya dalam satu kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Zainal Abidin memberitahu, sempena program perhimpunan bekas pelajar itu, satu karnival mini akan diadakan di pekarangan sekolah berkenaan pada 1 Ogos ini.

about rompakan bermotor dan parang panjang (public reminder)

saya post blog ni sebagai peringatan keada kengkawan semua lebih berhati hati tak kira dimana anda berada.

Hari ini kawan saya dirompak dengan diacukan parang panjang...

kejadian berlaku berhampiran bank islam jalan ss14/22 pj semasa kawan saya menunggu saya menjemputnya selepas beliau habis kuliah petang tadi dalam jam lebih kurang 4 lebih, kawan saya didatangi dua lelaki bermotor yang berlagak seperti sesat untuk bertanya arah kepada beliau dengan bertanyakan dimana arah untuk ke Jalan Kelang Lama, kawan saya yang bukan org KL (part-time U student) memberitahu yang beliau kurang pasti dan dua lelaki tersebut berlalu kearah belakang bangunan sebelum muncul kembali bersama sebilah parang panjang lalu mengacu kearah kawan saya dan memaksanya untuk menyerahkan beg galas yang berisi komputer ribanya.

kawan saya cuba melawan salah seorang dari perompak tersebut melibas libas serta cuba menetak parangnya dan parang tersebut terkena lengan kiri kawan saya sebelum dia melepaskan beg komputer yang digalasnya dan perompak tersebut menyambar handphone kawan saya yang pada ketika itu berada ditangannya. kedua perompak tersebut kemudian melarikan diri.

video yang anda lihat ini adalah aksi perompak gelap bermotor honda merah melarikan diri dari tempat kejadian yang dirakamkan oleh satu satunya saksi kejadian, iaitu seorang gadis yangkebetulan berada dikawasan tersebut tetapi beliau tidak dapat berbuat apa apa kerana takut.

saya tiba ditempat kejadian 5 minit kemudian dan video ini dibluetoothkan kepada saya oleh gadis tersebut untuk dibawa buat laporan polis tetapi tidak dapat berbuat apa apa kerana imejnya yang kurang jelas.

apabila kami sampai dibalai polis sea park untuk membuat laporan, ada seorang lelaki cina sedang membuat laporan dirompak dengan diacukan parang panjang keperutnya dan memberitahu yang wallet beliau dirompak oleh 2 lelaki gelap bermotor honda merah juga di ss14, apabila ditanya kami dan polis membuat kesimpulan bahawa rompakan dilakukan oleh 2 perompak yang sama dengan modus operandi yang sama iaitu dengan bertanya arah jalan ke kelang lama kerana sesat.

lelaki cina tersebut dirompak wallet dan kawan saya pula dirompak komputer riba dan handphonenya. alhamdulillah nyawa mereka selamat dan wallet kawan saya masih dengannya.

petang tadi saya bawa dia membuat laporan polis di sea park, kemudian ke IPD PJ bertemu inspektor untuk laporan kedua dan kemudian ke hospital universiti untuk membuat pemeriksaan serta mendapatkan ubat tahan sakit serta utk dicucuk ubat kerana dilukakan dengan parang.

saya harap anda semua berhati hati , jalan bersama kawan yang ramai dan sentiasa peka. kalau terkena, bagi sahaja harta anda kerana harta boleh kita ganti tapi nyawa hanya satu.

alhamdulillah kawan saya hanya cedera ringan cuma sekarang ada kesan libas, sedikit lebam dan sakit berdenyut denyut.

ingat kengkawan semua. hati hati ok!

I love to tweet but i am also lazy to do it every time on the main twitter page... in the end, i hardly tweet but i guess that soon will change! i'll tell you why...

about Stephen Rahman-Hughes and Starmaker Bootcamp

Starmaker Boot camp is back for another stimulating season to invigorate your musical senses!

Enfiniti Productions, the team that brought you Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical (PGLM) and P. Ramlee The Musical, is organizing the musical theatre workshop again from 15th to 30th November 2008. Leading the “Boot camp” is none other than West End star Stephen Rahman-Hughes, who plays the lead role of Hang Tuah in Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical. Assisting Stephen is Matt Cross who has worked closely with Stephen in the West End. Stephen and Matt have a combined professional experience of over 30 years in the entertainment industry, both working extensively in film, television, West End theatre (where both have starred in leading roles) and the music industry. Both also have extensive dance backgrounds.

The "Boot camp" will be a two-week, intensive performing arts workshop. Over the two-week course, the focus will be on improving the skills within the three disciplines of acting, singing and dance. The course will be looking at the technical aspect of each discipline. During the two weeks, the students will be encouraged to work towards a deeper, more truthful connection in each performance whether it be through song, acting or dance. “We will be teaching the do's and don'ts of the industry, passing on our knowledge and working with each individual to build confidence,” says Stephen.

Enfiniti will be sending several individuals who recently auditioned for Puteri Gunung Ledang the Musical Season 3 to attend the “Boot camp” to prepare them for the ‘real thing’ as part of the ensemble in PGLM 3. The boot camp will also be relevant for professional singers, actors or dancers who are looking for the next curve in their careers. “It’s such a competitive world out there and only those who keep up with change and continue to improve themselves will stand the test of time. Besides, you haven’t come full circle as a performer if you haven’t done musical theatre!” says Tiara Jacquelina, Managing Director of Enfiniti, Executive Producer and lead actress of PGLM. Tiara adds, “As for aspiring talent, this workshop will give you a very good idea of what to expect during rehearsals, and how to equip and 'position' yourself for a career in musical theatre.” Tiara will also be sharing her experiences and knowledge of the industry with the boot campers.

The program for the Boot camp will be skewed towards Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical, taking examples of scenes, songs and dance choreography from the musical. Participants who did not audition for PGLM may even be considered for a part in the ensemble, depending on their performance during the Boot camp. Overall, these two weeks aim to give each student a specific and detailed experience and to give them tools to carry into their careers as performers whilst having lots of fun.


STARMAKER: Musical Theatre Bootcamp
Participants may be naturally talented individuals who wish to sharpen their skills and abilities. Individuals may have professional or non-professional stage experience. Sekira anda mempunyai minat yang mendalam dalam seni persembahan dan mempunyai bakat dalam bidang nyanyian, lakonan dan tarian, kami mahu anda sertai kami! Datang ke sessi ujibakat ini dan tunjukkan kepada kami bahawa andalah bakat terpendam yang kami cari selama ini!

• 12 of us from P Ramlee The Musical will be doing the opening number with a melody from the musical with a totally new dance (funky) routine choreographed by the multi talented Pat Ibrahim. the 12 of us features zeqhty, azrul, nadia, zana dan ramai lagi.
• Diha, Nita and the Floor Fever boys will be backing up Ferhad
• My iideas being implemented by Helen Yap for Asmara (thanks Helen)
• drama komedi saya, Keluarga Adam nominated for best comedy series
• the 12 of us also will do the closing number singing Cahaya Anugerah , lagu tema Anugerah Skrin
• Cahaya Anugerah is written by Helen Yap and lyrics by me

So, apakejadahnyer CHEDDgraphy tu? well as the name itself suggests, budak chedd ni dah takde kerja lain huhuhu, after discovering another hobby taking photography, he decided to create another blog, a spin-off of his main blog at cheddyusoff.com. CHEDDgraphy was chosen because he couldn't think of any other names ...

Police confirmed the DNA test on the body of a girl found stuffed in a sports bag at a shophouse in Petaling Jaya Utama on Monday is that of Nurin Jazlin Jazimin who was missing since a month ago. However, the police proposed a second DNA test be conducted to confirm this after eight-year-old Nurin's parents refused to accept the positive DNA results released here on Thursday.

about Merdeka!

Happy 50th Malaysia! woke up today early as usual... was flipping the TV channels between TV1 ,TV3 (both for the Merdeka Parade), Axn and History channel when a friend of mine sms me about the passing of her beloved cat. poor Ayu, she must be so devastated.

Went to work on the voiceover project that seems to be endless without an end... ( i wish i need not work today so i can go back penang but i can't cancel my appointment... arghhh). Went to the Curve Damansara after work, did some shopping and now having BBQ burger at TGIF. thank goodness for the technologies that we have today, I can blog wirelessly almost anywhere nowadays. I wonder if we are not yet Merdeka (independent) would I be able to do this now...?

Why Chedd? why you not celebrating merdeka? I am, but to me, Merdeka is not about going to Dataran, lepak around shouting Merdeka! Merdeka! or watch a fireworks or anything like that... I know how to celebrate Merdeka my own way by remembering those who suffered to give us the Malaysia that we have today... thank you.

I love being busy, hate it when i am not. Quite an uneventful day for me :( How was yours?

aduh!! semenjak habis URMI sampai today belum ado masa untuk bergumbira lagi. Kerja,. Kerja. kerja but happy berkerja

baru malam semalam dapat time out sekejap. sempat meluangkan masa dengan ensemble My Name Is Remy dan survivors Star Maker boot-camp makan - makan happy sakan di majlis pembukaan Restoran baru Datin Seri Tiara The Borneo Rainforest Café @ Sunway berhadapan dengan hotel sunway resort and spa

kite orang makan sakan sebab semua sedap! bukan puji sebab saya akan berkerja untuk Tiara dalam My name Is Remy tetapi puji sebab memang sedap. tak percaya tanya Pat yang makan sakan dengan penambahan berkali kali(hahaha)... paling saya suka nasi dagang. nasi kerabu pun sedap. umai pun sedap, ketam bakar dan kerang bakar pun sedap (eh eh macam advertisement pulak)

anyway semua sedaplah... tak caya tanya sama SM, megat, sabrina hassan, bebudak luscious dan Infinatez (gangstars) , DJ suria Azrol juga para jemputan lain yang hadir seperti sofea jane, juliza adlizan dan Datuk Siti Nurhaliza! yang datang bersama suami masing masing (motif utama saya tulis nama nama ini adalah untuk memberitahu mereka mereka yang dijemput tapi tak datang untuk merasa jealous) hahaha

ok cukup advertisement untuk malam ini.... tengah sibok kemas rumah sebab esok family nak datang... perutku penuh makan sakan tapi takpe esok rehearsal Remy boleh joget sampai pengsan
